Nioxin System 4 conditioner (Scalp Therapy Revitalizing Conditioner) is a lightweight conditioner for coloured hair with noticeable thinning. It is step two of the three-part Nioxin system, used after the shampoo and before the leave-in treatment. It comes in a 300 ml bottle, with a one-litre size in the range as well.

What is Nioxin System 4 conditioner?

Nioxin focuses on care for thinning hair and sorts its products into numbered systems. System 4 is meant for coloured, dry or damaged hair whose density has clearly decreased. The conditioner hydrates both hair and scalp and helps strands become more resilient.

Peppermint oil and menthol refresh the scalp, while biotin, niacinamide, panthenol and green tea extract complete the formula. The Color Safe label on the bottle marks it as suitable for coloured hair.

Who it is for

Choose System 4 if your hair is coloured and has thinned more than System 3 covers. For coloured hair with light thinning Nioxin offers System 3, and for natural hair there are Systems 1 and 2. You will find more options among our conditioners.

How to use

1. Wash your hair with the System 4 cleanser shampoo and rinse.
2. Apply the conditioner from roots to ends.
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Follow with the System 4 scalp and hair treatment and leave it in.

Nioxin recommends the complete system at least three times a week.

Yes. Nioxin has cut its range from six systems to four and recommends that former System 6 users switch to System 4.

Are the System 3 and System 4 conditioners the same?

No. Both are made for coloured hair, but System 4 is for more noticeable thinning, while System 3 is for light thinning.
