Plasters are the simplest way to cover and protect a small wound, scratch or graze. Here you will find Hansaplast plasters for children and adults: colourful kids’ plasters with favourite characters, flexible elastic strips for fingers and large sterile plasters for sensitive skin.

This subcategory belongs to our health category, home to health products that are not medicines. A good wound plaster sticks firmly, feels comfortable on the skin and comes off without much pain. Below you can read which one suits which situation and how to apply it the right way.

Plasters for kids and adults

Our range holds four Hansaplast products, each made for its own situation:

  • Paw Patrol kids’ plaster: 20 strips in different sizes with the PAW Patrol heroes.
  • Marvel kids’ plaster: 20 water-resistant strips with Marvel superheroes.
  • Elastic: 10 extra flexible, water-repellent strips for parts of the body that move.
  • Sensitive XL: 5 large sterile 6 x 7 cm dressings for sensitive skin.

All of them have a non-stick wound pad that protects and cushions the wound. It is worth keeping several types in your first aid kit, because a finger, a knee and a wide graze each need a different plaster.

A kids’ plaster with a favourite hero

Hansaplast kids’ plasters are developed for children’s sensitive skin. They are skin-friendly and come off with little pain, and the colours are safe for children. The flexible material moves with the skin and suits a knee, an elbow or a finger. Picking a strip becomes a little game that draws attention away from the wound, and many children love showing their plaster to friends and parents.

PAW Patrol

The Paw Patrol box holds 20 strips in different sizes, so there is a fit for a tiny scratch as well as a graze. The box features Chase, Skye, Marshall and Rubble. The colours of the prints are saliva-resistant, which is good news for parents of little ones.

Marvel superheroes

The Marvel box holds 20 strips showing Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Black Panther. The material is water-resistant and protects a small wound from dirt, even when a child washes their hands or plays in the rain. A superhero strip suits girls and boys, and older kids who still love Marvel stories too.

Children’s oral care, hair accessories and vitamins are in our for children category.

An elastic strip for fingers and joints

Fingers type, peel potatoes, turn taps and carry bags. A stiff strip comes loose quickly in such a spot. Hansaplast Elastic stretches with the skin and stays put when you bend your finger or knee. Strong adhesion holds it all day, and the breathable fabric feels comfortable.

The water-repellent surface is very practical in daily life: you can wash your hands, do the dishes and walk in the rain without changing it straight away. The pack holds ten strips of about 7.2 x 2.2 cm, ready for the kitchen, the workplace and the sports bag. For cooks, gardeners, craftspeople and athletes, an elastic strip is as necessary as a good tool.

A large sterile wound plaster

When a regular strip is too narrow, Hansaplast Sensitive XL is the answer. It measures 6 x 7 cm, and every plaster is individually wrapped and sterile, so you open it exactly when you need it. The large soft pad absorbs wound fluid, cushions the wound and does not stick to it.

The hypoallergenic adhesive and breathable structure are gentle on sensitive skin, and skin tolerance is dermatologically confirmed. It suits a larger scratch, graze or cut on a knee, elbow, forearm or shin, and covering a wound after minor procedures. Five in a pack is a sensible amount for the home kit, the car, the summer cottage and a hiking bag, where a regular strip would be too narrow for a wide scratch.

How to apply a plaster

  • Clean the wound and the skin around it and let it dry.
  • Choose the right size: the pad should cover the whole wound.
  • Remove the protective papers without touching the pad.
  • Place the pad on the wound and press the adhesive part onto healthy skin.
  • Put on a fresh one every day.

If the wound reaches past the edge of the pad, pick a bigger size. A plaster sticks best to clean, dry skin. On a hairy area, trimming the hair first helps it sit evenly.

Which one for which situation

  • A child’s scraped knee: a kids’ plaster with a favourite character.
  • A cut finger in the kitchen: an elastic strip that bends with the finger.
  • A wide graze after a fall: a large sterile dressing.
  • Sensitive or delicate skin: Sensitive XL with hypoallergenic adhesive.
  • Wet hands and rain: the water-repellent Elastic or the Marvel strips.

A small box, a big help

Small accidents do not choose their time or place. That is why it pays to keep one pack at home, another in the car and a third in a handbag or backpack. A thin box fits into a school bag, a sports bag and a suitcase without taking up room. Summer brings gardening, cycling and hikes, winter brings icy pavements and ski tracks: in every season it is good to have a plaster at hand.

For a summer hike, pack sun protection from our tanning category next to the plasters. After gardening and frequent hand washing, your hands deserve some care, and a cream from our hand cream category does the job.

A pack of plasters also makes a practical gift: kids’ strips for a party bag or a Christmas stocking, elastic strips for a hiking friend and large dressings for the grandparents’ first aid kit.

A calm moment after a fall

When a child falls, calm matters most. Pick your child up, let them cry it out and talk quietly about what happened. Then clean the scratch together and choose a strip from the box. Many children love deciding which hero comes to help today, and a child who picks or even sticks on their own plaster feels braver.

Adults have it easier, but they too appreciate having the right plaster ready. A finger cut in the kitchen, a hand scratched by a thorn in the garden or a knee grazed on the running track need not spoil the day: clean, cover and carry on. Keep the boxes where every family member knows to look, such as a fixed shelf in the bathroom cabinet, so nobody has to search at the wrong moment.
