Description

Babé Cradle Cap Shampoo from the Pediatric line is a gentle shampoo in a 200 ml bottle for the scalp of babies and children. It helps balance the sebum production of the baby’s scalp and remove the flaking of cradle cap without drying the skin. The soft formula is adapted to a little one’s skin, and the hair stays soft and shiny after washing.

What is Babé Cradle Cap Shampoo?

Cradle cap is common on the scalp of nursing babies: yellowish scales and crusts form on the scalp. It does not itch or bother the baby, yet many parents want the scalp smooth again. The Babé Cradle Cap Shampoo is a shampoo of the Pediatric line by the Spanish Laboratorios Babé, made for exactly this. It is very gentle and helps regulate scalp sebum and remove flaking. Using it is as simple as using an ordinary shampoo.

Three bottles of Babé Pediatric cradle cap shampoo

After just a few uses, the scales soften and come away more easily during hair washing. The shampoo cares for the baby’s scalp and gives the hair softness and shine.

Who it is for

The shampoo suits the scalp of babies and children with cradle cap or flaking. It is most often needed in the first months, but it can also be used on an older child’s scalp. You can find more care for little ones among our products for children, and the whole range of the brand on the Babé page.

Active ingredients

The shampoo has five groups of actives. An undecylenic acid derivative (4 %) helps keep the scalp in balance. Hair conditioners (2.2 %) make the hair soft and easy to comb. Calendula (1 %) soothes and cares for the skin. A keratolytic agent (0.5 %) gently helps remove the scales. A prebiotic (0.1 %) supports the skin’s natural balance. Inulin and glycerin are in the formula too.

  • helps remove the flaking of cradle cap;
  • helps balance scalp sebum;
  • gives the hair softness and shine;
  • cares for the baby’s delicate scalp.

How to use

  1. Wet the baby’s scalp and hair with water.
  2. Apply a small amount of shampoo and massage gently until a light lather forms.
  3. Leave it on the scalp for a few minutes.
  4. Rinse with plenty of water.

Use the shampoo 2–3 times a week. On the days in between, the extra mild Babé Pediatric Extra Mild Shampoo, made for daily use, is right for hair washing.

Calm care for a little scalp

The first months are a time when every little thing about a baby draws attention, scales on the scalp included. The Babé Cradle Cap Shampoo makes care simple and calm: it is gentle, lathers lightly and fits naturally into the evening bath. While the foam works for a few minutes, the parent can cuddle the baby, chat or sing a song. So hair washing stays a pleasant moment rather than a chore.

Clear gel texture of the shampoo

The small 200 ml bottle fits well on the edge of the bath and in a nappy bag, so the same routine can go on during travel. As the shampoo is used a couple of times a week, the bottle lasts long. It makes a nice gift for a young family, together with other bath-time products from the Babé Pediatric line. Soft and shiny hair after washing is the sweet end of a lovely bath time.

How it fits with daily care

A cradle cap shampoo and a daily extra mild shampoo complement each other. On two or three evenings a week the parent washes the baby’s head with the cradle cap shampoo and leaves it on for a short while. On other days a gentle ordinary wash is enough. After the bath, the hair can be combed with a soft brush, which helps loosened scales come away more easily.
