Nioxin System 3 shampoo (Cleanser Shampoo) is a cleansing shampoo for coloured hair that has started to thin slightly. It is the first step of the three-part Nioxin system. The bottle holds 300 ml.

What is Nioxin System 3 shampoo?

Nioxin specialises in care for thinning hair and groups its products into numbered systems. System 3 is designed for coloured hair whose density has dropped a little. The shampoo removes sebum, fatty acids and environmental pollutants from the scalp and hair, all of which can clog follicles. Nioxin says it cleanses thoroughly and leaves hair stronger and thicker. The bottle is marked Color Safe.

Peppermint oil and menthol give the scalp a fresh feel. The formula also contains biotin, niacinamide, panthenol and green tea extract.

Who it is for

How to use

1. Apply the shampoo to a wet scalp.
2. Massage gently and evenly.
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Follow with the System 3 conditioner and the scalp and hair treatment.

Nioxin recommends using the complete system at least three times a week.

Yes. Nioxin has reduced its range from six systems to four and recommends that former System 5 users move to System 3.
