Teeth Whitening – What Exactly Is It?

You shouldn’t whiten your teeth if you’re pregnant, since it isn’t yet well understood what effect this might have on an unborn baby. Since it’s a cosmetic procedure, it’s best to simply postpone it.

Does Teeth Whitening Work on Fillings?

If anyone tells you that teeth whitening works on all teeth, that’s not true. Fillings, crowns, caps and other artificial teeth do not whiten! If your fillings or crowns are lighter than your natural teeth, teeth whitening can help even out the shades. If it’s the other way around, visit your dentist, who can clean your crowns. If you have braces, only the area around them will whiten. If your teeth are yellowish, you can certainly go ahead and whiten them, but if you’re due to have your braces removed soon, it’s better to wait until then.
